      On Saturday, November 26, 2022, the Complementary Medicine Department of Chiangmai hospital organized a seminar on the topic “Treatment of Diabetes by Thai Traditional Medicine in conjunction with modern medicine” at the main conference room, 4th floor, Chiangmai hospital, with lectures on the following topics:

• “Knowledge about diabetes and current self-care” by Dr. Sachinat Sriwattana, MD, Deputy Medical Director of Chiangmai hospital.
• “The Role of Thai Traditional Medicine with Diabetes” by ATM. Dr. Panukorn Parisuthi, an expert in the Complementary Medicine Department in the field of Thai traditional medicine.
• “Herbs suitable for diabetic patients” by ATM. Dr. Ramanpan Chanjitjain

Activities

• Health promotion department provides fingertip blood test service to measure blood sugar levels for preliminary diabetes screening for all participants.
• The nutrition department provides all participants with nutritious meals for people who control blood sugar or diabetes.
• The Complementary medical department has brought protein water for participants to try to drink.

      There were a large number of people who attended the lecture, general people and volunteer staff. By introducing the use of sweetener instead of sugar "Stevia" and giving it to all participants to try instead of sugar. The end of this activity, ATM. Dr. Panukorn Parisuthi also presented herbal medicine from the Big Herb and Lab Thai Traditional Medicine Clinic as a souvenir to all honorable guests and attendees.
