A High Fever can be Dengue. Do Not Take NSAIDs.
A fever is not an illness by itself rather it is a symptom that something is not right within the body. A fever has many causes and can be a symptom of many hidden illnesses which can confuse the patient what’s actually the root cause. For example if dengue is mistaken for a regular cold, the patient might be given the wrong medication. Dengue if left untreated, can result in shock and can be life-threatening.

#Dangerous Medicines for Dengue Fever
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as aspirin, and ibuprofen, should not be used because if infected by dengue it could increase the internal bleeding.
If we know that the fever is caused by #dengue doctors will opt for a symptomatic treatment to reduce fever as dengue does not have a specific cure. Antipyretic medicine such as paracetamol can help to reduce fever but be careful for medicines such as ibuprofen which can cause the signs of dengue to get worse. #Paracetamol is a relatively safe drug, but be careful not to overdose on it. Always follow the directions on the label or your doctor's instructions when taking medication. If you're taking antipyretics and still have a high fever, sponge the body with water and make sure to take painkillers every 4-6 hours as prescripted.
